Winfonie mobile requires the installation of a SyncML clients on the BlackBerry.

At first a SyncML client has to be installed:
- Download Nexthaus SyncJE client version 2.47: http://nexthaus.com/bb/bb_v247.zip. Other versions are not supported.
- Unzip the downloaded file and install the client with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Start SyncJE on BlackBerry's start screen.
- Please note that a license for the SyncJE client has to be purchased separately from Nexthaus: www.nexthaus.com.
Settings
Now the phone can be configured for synchronization:
- The connection to Winfonie mobile is established by a network connection (GPRS or UMTS). So you will have to configure a network connection between your pc and your BlackBerry first. Please note that you will probably have to enable a port forwarding to the pc you want to synchronize with. It will be enough to forward the port 42856.
Start the SyncJE client. In Settings at URL enter the network address or IP-address of the computer or router whose port 42856 has been forwarded. If you have configured the forwarding in a dsl router for example, enter the external (WAN) ip-address of the dsl router. The connection is established on port 42856. So the address has the format "http://x.x.x.x:42856". You can also use an address forwarded by a dynamic name service, e.g. dyndns.org.
- Set username and password to wm.
- Enable Contacts and enter contacts for Foldername.
- At Calendar choose events as Foldername.
- At ToDo choose tasks as Foldername.
Choose MDS as connection method.
- Leave WAP gateway settings empty.
- Click Save.
Now set the mobile phone provider's access point (APN) at Settings/Options->Advanced Options->TCP. If you are not sure which apn to take, ask your cell phone provider.
- Start Winfonie mobile, choose Partnership->New, BlackBerry->Phone and "Continue".
- Click "test synchronization".
Now start the synchronization on the phone by clicking Start Sync.
